Review: Restaurant - Princess Terrace Cafe, Copthorne King Hotel

We recently tried the Penang Buffet at the Princess Terrace Cafe at Copthorne King's Hotel, which is part of the Millenium Group and one of the restaurants where you can enjoy the discounts of the a la carte dining card.

It is inexpensive - $40.80 ++ per adult for a weekday buffet dinner and $43.80++ for weekend buffet dinner. The usual a la carte dining discount structure applies - 50% with 2 diners, 33% with 3 diners ...

Fish Otah, Prawn paste Fried Chicken & Satay

 It offers fantastic value - with favourite local foods like:-

Noodles: Penang Laksa, Prawn Noodles, Fired Kuay Teow, Duck Leg Mee Sua Soup, Chee Cheong Fun, Rice Flour Noodles

Meat: Satay, Curry Chicken, Sambal Prawns, Braised Pig Trotters, Prawn paste fried chicken

Others: Popiah (Chinese version of a salad wrap), Kueh Pie Tee, Wok Fried Porridge

Dessert: Assorted Nonya Kueh, Yam Paste (Orh Nee), Red Bean Soup, Ice Kachang, fruits

Savoury Prawn Noodles

Overall the food was very delicious. What was most memorable was the prawn noodle soup. I am a big fan of prawn noodles and like different versions like Whitley Big Prawn Noodles, the stalls at Adam Road Hawker Center, Newton and Thomson Long House. They are all nice but have slightly different tastes... But the prawn broth at Princess Terrace is thick, aromatic and savoury. I had two additional servings of the soup.



Penang Laksa



It is quite a nice and relaxed place for a few friends to catch up over a decent meal at affordable prices. Seriously, how many places in Singapore will offer you a decent buffet below $50? If you have the a la carte dining card and go with one other diner, it is $20++! And they will give you a complimentary parking pass as well.I will definitely go back again.
